All schools, Colleges in UP to remain closed till Nov. 11
School Holiday Tomorrow Update @ 23:23: Holiday declared in Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh. Section 144 has also been imposed in many states including in Jammu and Uttarakhand. More updates expected soon. Holiday has been announced for all schools and colleges - private and government in the states and cities mentioned. Bengaluru Police Commissioner has also tweeted that Section 144 would be imposed in parts of the city and Social Media would be monitored. Section 144 imposed in entire UP.
Most of the schools in Delhi would also remain closed in lieu of second Saturday. Manish Sisodia, Deputy CM has also asked all private schools to remain closed tomorrow. Please note, it has been advised in Delhi and not announced. Parents are requested to please confirm the same in case their ward's school is working.
There are potential security concerns with the SC Ayodhya verdict tmrw morning. All government schools and many private schools are closed tomorrow, as it is a second Saturday. We are advising all private schools to also remain closed tmrw.
School Holiday Tomorrow Update @ 23:08: Section 144 imposed in Jammu. All schools and colleges to remain closed in Jammu as well. So far, school holiday has been announced in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka and Jammu. Updates on schools in Delhi and Maharashtra awaited. No update for these places yet.
School Holiday Tomorrow Update @ 22:54: Schools in Jammu, Samba and Poonch district have also been closed. All are again advised to note that as per the advisory, all schools, colleges and educational institutes in UP, MP, Karnataka would remain closed tomorrow - November 9. In UP, the schools would remain closed till November 11. This includes all cities of Lucknow, Agra, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Indore, etc. SC would be announcing the Ayodhya Verdict tomorrow around 10:30 am. The schools have been closed as a precautionery step.

Tomorrow, November 9, 2019 has been declared a holiday for all schools, colleges in Uttar Pradesh. The UP Government has declared holiday for all schools till November 11 as Supreme Court would be delivering verdict on the long standing land dispute case of Ayodhya. Security has been beefed and all metros (New Delhi and Mumbai) have been put on high alert. To ensure safety of all students, the educational as well as training institutes in the state would remain closed.
All schools and colleges in Madhya Pradesh would also be closed tomorrow ahead of the verdict. The measures have been taken to avoid any inconvenience to students. Updates would be provided here as and when available. All are advised to keep refreshing the page. Section 144 has also been imposed in MP ahead of the verdict.
Supreme Court is likely to deliver its verdict in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid land dispute case before Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi retires on November 17. Massive security measures have been deployed in Ayodhya.
While Delhi and Mumbai have also been put on high alert, there is no news of schools being closed. In most parts of India, November 12 is a holiday due to Guru Nanak Jayanti.
